Meet
Dr. Bohdanna Czerniak
Dr. Bohdanna Czerniak, known to many of her patients as Dr. Bo, is the proud owner of Lemont Smiles Family Dental and is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care in a warm and welcoming environment. Raised in nearby Orland Park, she attended Providence Catholic High School before earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign. She later completed a Master’s in Biomedical Science at Midwestern University in Downers Grove and went on to receive her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Midwestern University College of Dentistry in Glendale, Arizona.
Dr. Czerniak’s philosophy is simple: treat every patient like family. She is committed to helping patients feel comfortable and at ease in her chair while customizing treatment to fit each individual’s needs. Your health is always her top priority, and she strongly believes in the connection between oral health and overall wellness. Because of this, she takes a comprehensive approach to dentistry focused on prevention, long-term health, and helping patients keep their natural teeth for a lifetime.
She enjoys giving back through volunteer work both locally and abroad. One of her most meaningful experiences was traveling to the Kingdom of Tonga, where she provided dental care to underserved communities—an opportunity that further deepened her passion for service and patient care.
Outside the office, Dr. Czerniak loves traveling and learning about other cultures. She enjoys running, has completed several half marathons and is now training for her first full marathon as part of Smile Train’s charity team for the 2026 Chicago Marathon. Smile Train is the world’s largest cleft-focused organization, supporting sustainable, local care including surgery and other essential treatments for patients in need. She also enjoys reading and loves connecting with patients by exchanging book recommendations and favorite titles. A devoted Chicago sports fan, she can often be found cheering on the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Blackhawks. At home, she spends time with her sweet mini Goldendoodle, Phoebe.
